Pharmacologic algorithm helps clinicians treat children at risk for bipolar disorder

Depression with brief manic periods can presage bipolar disorder in children who have a parent or sibling with the disorder. However, there is no evidence for medications for these children, so researchers proposed a pharmacologic algorithm for high‐risk youth.
