New MOOC “Open Knowledge: Changing the Global Course of Learning”

This fall Stanford librarians and faculty with international partners are offering the innovative, free MOOC,  Open Knowledge: Changing the Global Course of Learning.  Lauren Maggio, Director of Research and Instruction at Stanford’s Lane Medical Library, is one of the instructors. The course provides an introduction to the important concept of openness from a variety of perspectives, including library & information studies, education, publishing, economics, politics, and more. It will help prepare you in becoming an informed, critical, and connected digital citizen, actively participating in the consumption and production of the world’s knowledge.
