Production of labor precarization: preliminary reflections on the creation of new forms of subjectivity

This study aimed to discuss the subjective production of labor precarization. The case of a 30 year-old woman who requested resignation of a private financial institution after developing Panic Disorder was analyzed. This research is characterized as a qualitative, exploratory-descriptive and transversal case study. In the case, the participant chooses to make a precarious job after leaving her former job. The choice of precarious labor did not mean the achievement of a desire to enjoy the individual ’ s own work, but simply meant as a way of maintaining material subsistence. It was concluded that it is necessary to deepen the question of subjective production precarization, trying to understand possible forms of resistance to this.
