Week in Review: Celebrating Patient HealthBefore we leave to celebrate the holiday weekend, we wanted to talk about the latest happenings in the biopharmaceutical industry and the importance of celebrating patients. Researcher and patient advocate Sue Dubman discussed her battle with Parkinson’s disease and participating in clinical trials. There are currently 37 medicines in the pipeline to help treat patients with Parkinson’s disease, but without clinical trial participants, Sue says, new treatments will not be developed to help suffering patients. Thanks to the willingness of brave patients like Sue who enroll in clinical trials, we are making progress and helping patients live longer, healthier lives.
