Drinking status but not acute alcohol consumption influences delay discounting

ConclusionsOur data suggest that heavier drinkers discount the value of delayed rewards more steeply than lighter drinkers. Delay discounting may therefore be a promising marker of heavy alcohol consumption in social drinkers.
