Deregulated HOXB7 expression predicts poor prognosis of patients with malignancies of digestive system.

CONCLUSIONS: High expression of HOXB7 protein was associated with poor prognosis of patients with digestive system cancers, as well as clinicopathologic characteristics, including the tumor invasion, lymph node status, distant metastasis and TNM stage. The expression of HOXB7 protein was not associated with age, gender or levels of differentiation. HOXB7 protein expression level in tumor tissue might serve as a novel prognostic marker for digestive system cancers. PMID: 28749115 [PubMed - as supplied by publisher]
