Postoperative delirium in total joint arthroplasty patients

Wenliang Chen et al. conducted a study titled as ‘Prevalence and risk factors for postoperative delirium in total joint arthroplasty patients: A prospective study’ [1]. The authors must be complimented for conducting this study to investigate the prevalence and analysis of the potential risk factors including general characteristics and hemato logical variables, for postoperative delirium (PD) in patients undergoing both hip and knee arthroplasty, as only few studies have focused on the risk factors for both of them and with the prospective design.
