Segmentation of Medical Images using Mean Value Guided Contour

Partial differential equation-based (PDE-based) methods are one of the important approaches to segment an image (Caselles et al. 1997). A well-liked manner in this class of methods is curve propagation. The significant knowledge is to develop an initial curve and steer it in the direction of the lowermost energy function. With this end in view, one technique, known as active contour method (Kass et al. 1988), is parameterizing the contour due to one sampling method and then developing each component.
