June is Men’s Health Month! Below are some wonderful resources from the National Library of Medicine (NLM) and other reputable agencies to help you learn and spread awareness about men’s health issues. Men’s Health from MedlinePlus – get started on men’s health topics with NLM’s premiere consumer health resource. Available in English and Spanish. menshealthmonth.org – a resource dedicated to this important health observance, you can find a history of men’s health month, promotional materials and information about related events. Brother, You’re on My Mind – from the National Institute on Minority Health and Health Disparities (NIMHD) comes this initiative that uses a variety of activities to raise awareness of the mental health challenges associated with depression and stress that affect African American men and their families. Office of Minority Health – OMH has a full page dedicated to Men’s Health Month, including men’s health disparities, projects, and recent publications. Looking for more activity?
