Professor Simon Maxwell is medical director of the Prescribing Safety Assessment (PSA) and professor of student learning at the University of Edinburgh Medical School. He is also a consultant physician at the Western General Hospital in Edinburgh. He talks to Kate Stewart about the PSA and the impact it is having on prescribing education in the UK and beyond.
