Quantifying the informativeness for biomedical literature summarization: An itemset mining method
With the fast growth in producing digital text content in the biomedical domain, much effort has been made toward developing automatic tools to alleviate the difficulties of finding relevant information. Notably, clinicians and researchers are often faced with a common problem, i.e. acquiring the intended information from the vast sources of available text documents. The information is obtained from various resources, such as scientific literature databases, clinical trials, Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems, multimedia documents, e-mailed reports, and web documents [1,2].
