Nature Reviews Cancer 17, 381 (2017). doi:10.1038/nrc.2017.23 Authors: Qingfei Jiang, Leslie A. Crews, Frida Holm & Catriona H. M. CSCs evolve during tumour progression in a manner that conforms to Charles Darwin's principle of natural selection.
