From the Outreach and Special Populations Branch: May 2017 is National Physical Fitness and Sports Month and public health professionals can find online health resources about exercise and fitness for all types of populations through National Library of Medicine (NLM) and National Institute of Health (NIH) websites: Resources for the General Public: Find resources for exercise and physical fitness on MedlinePlus, including resources for children, teens, women, and older adults. Resources in Multiple Languages:  Check MedlinePlus for information in 17 languages about exercise and physical fitness, or check HealthReach for documents, audio, and video resources in many languages about exercise to provide to patients. Resources for Older Adults: Use Go4Life from the National Institute on Aging to find simple exercises for older adults to try, safety tips, and nutrition information.
