Clinical diets for cats and dogs could help boost sales for practices

Following the launch of its Veterinary HPM Lifestage Diets last year, Virbac has added HPM Clinical Diets to its range. The company says that its new diets are based on a formulation that is high in protein (90 per cent animal origin) and low in carbohydrate, providing clinical nutrition that it says is closest to the needs of dogs and cats as carnivores. The company says that the range provides advanced nutritional management through its ‘Veterinary global care’ approach, which goes beyond the management of the primary condition to support concurrent conditions, restore body composition and provide additional health benefits. The range, which the company describes as ‘comprehensive yet compact’, allows veterinary practices to meet the main nutritional needs encountered in practice with just 15 products, which Virbac says makes it easier for practice teams to navigate, while also reducing the amount of stock held.
