Endoscopic ultrasound ‐guided retrieval of a toothpick embedded in the stomach wall

We report the case of a 33‐year‐old male patient who presented with the complaint of progressive abdominal pain and history of ingestion of a toothpick. It was removed by endoscopic ultrasound‐guided localization‐assisted targeted endoscopic dissection. Endoscopic ultrasound‐guided localization reduced the length and depth of the required incision and helped to minimize the risk of damage to the surrounding tissue. © 2017 Wiley Periodicals, Inc.
