Updated Information Guides for Hurricanes and Floods

From the Disaster Information Management Resource Center (DIMRC): Hurricane Preparedness Week is approaching (May 7–13), and the stormy weather this week is getting a head start!  To help you prepare and respond with authoritative health information resources, we recently updated our Information Guides for hurricanes and floods.  You can embed the content from either of these pages on your own website by accessing the Health and Human Services (HHS) Content Syndication Storefront. When we update our pages, the syndicated content in your pages will be automatically updated as well. Hurricanes – Information Guide Hurricanes – Embed Content Floods – Information Guide Floods – Embed Content Coping with Disasters, Violence and Traumatic Events – Information Guide Also remember to read the April 18, 2017 blog post written by Florence Chang, Acting Director of NLM Specialized Information Services, and Stacey Arnesen, Branch Chief of Disaster Information Management Research Center. Their post, “Get Ready for Tornado Season,” is a thought-provoking review of why you should be ready for events like tornadoes, how tornado science has evolved over time, and where to find resources to prepare yourself, your family, and your community.
