Response letter to the Editor: In reference to the recent Letter to the Editor by Caneiro et  al., 2016, regarding ‘Low back pain misdiagnosis or missed diagnosis: Core principles’

We were surprised that it was necessary for Caneiro et  al., 2016 to mobilise the masses to affirm fundamental principles of best practice for low back pain which we elaborated in our case report [Monie et al., 2016]. As we emphasised, a balanced, individualised management approach within a biopsychosocial framework is entirely consistent with consens us guidelines.
