U18666A, an Activator of Sterol Regulatory Element Binding Protein (SREBP) Pathway Modulates Presynaptic Dopaminergic Phenotype of SH ‐SY5Y Neuroblastoma Cells

This article is protected by copyright. All rights reserved. Using an activator of SREBP (sterol regulatory element‐binding protein), the authors show that the SREBP transcriptional activation reinforces the dopaminergic phenotype of the SH‐SY5Y neuroblastoma cells. This dopaminergic differentiation may lead to the restoration of the presynaptic dopamine markers and may contribute to neuroprotection of dopaminergic neurons afforded by statins.
