Graph Cut-Based Method for Segmenting the Left Ventricle from MRI or Echocardiographic Images

Magnetic resonance imagery (MRI) and echocardiography are both very common imaging modalities for diagnosing cardiovascular diseases  (Bernard et al., 2015; Petitjean and Dacher, 2010). A single technique to segment the left ventricle (LV) in both modalities would be ideal to standardize tool-assisted clinical evaluations.
