Rapid weight gain during infancy and early childhood is related to higher anthropometric measurements in preadolescence

ConclusionRapid weight gain during both infancy and early childhood was related to higher anthropometric measurements, including WHtR, among Japanese preadolescents, regardless of sex. This study suggests that rapid weight gain during infancy and early childhood may be a risk factor for general/abdominal obesity later in life.
