A PC-based shutter glasses controller for visual stimulation using multithreading in LabWindows/CVI

In newborn children, the nerves and brain function that control eye movement and image processing are still developing. If sufficient binocular function is not achieved in the first several months of life, the eyes can drift out of alignment, most commonly crossing inward. This eye misalignment prevents the brain from receiving the aligned images needed for binocular depth perception. Another abnormality, namely different refractive error between the two eyes, causes blurred vision in one eye because human eyes cannot focus independently.
