Diagnostic challenge

An approximately 4-week-old female eastern gray squirrel (Sciurus carolinensis) was presented to the Zoological Medicine Service of Louisiana State University Veterinary Teaching Hospital in late August of 2016. The squirrel had been found on the ground after it apparently fell from a tree.
