Sudden Cardiac Arrest Preparedness in Michigan: Partnering with Project ADAM to develop a HEARTSafe Schools state model
We describe a program to promote preparedness for sudden cardiac arrest (SCA) and bystander response in schools and by extension into communities. The MI HEARTSafe Schools program was initiated in 2014 by a multifaceted state-wide group convened by the Michigan Department of Health and Human Services (MDHHS).
