Hs-CRP is strongly associated with coronary heart disease (CHD): A data mining approach using decision tree algorithm
Coronary heart disease (CHD) is responsible for 13.3% deaths globally, and is also the most common cause of disability [1]. The most important traditional risk factors of CHD are age, high body mass index, male gender, type 2 diabetes, hypertension, and dyslipidemia [2]. Atherosclerosis is the most prevalent cause of CHD. It is a complex process, that is initiated by changes in endothelium and leads to atherosclerotic plaque formation. Atheroma narrows the coronary artery and reduces the blood supply to the myocardium [3].
