Maternal Interpersonal Trauma and Child Social ‐Emotional Development: An Intergenerational Effect

ConclusionMaternal interpersonal trauma exposures can negatively impact child social‐emotional development, acting in part through maternal psychosocial factors. Future research is needed to further elucidate the mechanisms of intergenerational risk.
