How to address continued health care differences and disparities among people with disability

People with disability continue to report difficulties in receipt of health care. A number of differences and disparities have been identified, and reports of this have been published in Disability and Health Journal and other journals. Many studies are disability-specific, although some (fewer) are more generalized. These reports have been available for more than 20 years. And yet, people with disability continue to report difficulties. The Affordable Care Act, which was purported to deal with inequities in health care, has made some progress, but still and yet, people with disabilities do not receive services that meet their needs.
