Transfusion Medicine in China Comes of Age

Nearly 1.4 billion people live in China whose population represents almost 1 in every 5 people on Earth. In recent decades, the nation has witnessed tremendous economic growth accompanied by dramatic social, political, and scientific change. Healthcare in China is rapidly evolving and transfusion medicine has been very much a part of the challenges and opportunities confronting the nation.
