Body Kindness Advent Day 4: Take a Hike

Body Kindness Activity: Take a Hike Get outside and get some fresh air and joyful exercise. Or simply wander, breathe, and connect to the beauty of nature. Close your eyes and take in the smells and sounds of the day. The reality of your own nature should determine your speed. If you become restless, speed up. If you become winded, slow down. Connecting to nature is not only good for your body (strengthens heart, lungs, and muscles) and your mood (boosts emotions awe and wonder), but it’s also a very cool way for kids to learn about their planet. This is a trail right in my backyard. I’ve traveled this trail hundreds of times, but each time is a unique experience when I wander through nature.
