Artificial cervical disc replacement with the Prestige-LP prosthesis for the treatment of non-contiguous 2-level cervical degenerative disc disease: A minimum 24-month follow-up

Anterior cervical discectomy and fusion(ACDF) is widely accepted and considered a safe and effective treatment for single- or multilevel cervical degenerative disc disease, due to its high fusion rate and excellent clinical outcomes [1,2]. Although such a procedure is significant in terms of resolving symptoms, improving nerve function and maintaining or restoring the cervical stability, the loss of range of motion and the acceleration of adjacent segment degeneration (ASD) raise concerns regarding the long-term morbidity, which leads to subsequent surgery [3,4].
