Simplest radiological measurement related to clinical success in endoscopic third ventriculostomy

Endoscopic third ventriculostomy (ETV) is a popular alternative to cerebrospinal fluid (CSF) shunting in selected cases [8,10]. The success of ETV procedures can be judged either with clinical outcomes or with changes in patients ’ radiological findings. Clinical outcomes can be judged relatively straightforward. A patient who has benefited from the intervention is a success. Many studies have linked clinical parameters such as age, underlying etiology and treating center volume with success [2,9,10,12].
