Diagnostic Ultrasound Impulses Improve Microvascular Flow in Patients With STEMI Receiving Intravenous Microbubbles

We read with interest the paper by Mathias et  al.(1), testing the hypothesis that the transthoracic high mechanical index impulses from ultrasound, used as a diagnostic tool to detect microvascular obstruction, may be used to improve the epicardial and microvascular flow in patients with acute ST-segment elevation myocardial infarction (STEMI).
