Anti-inflammatory drugs 'could help to treat depression as well as arthritis'

This study is promising, indicating a possible new use of an existing treatment for those living with arthritis. However, more research needs to be done to explore the underlying biological mechanisms behind the successful use of this treatment for depression. "In particular, we need to know more about why it seems to treat depression even if the inflammatory condition is still active, and if the learnings from this study could help eliminate the need to prescribe antidepressants."
