Primary Care Meets Population Health: 22nd Annual Paul C. Brucker Lecture

On April 11, 2014, the 22nd Annual Paul C. Brucker lecture was presented by Kevin Grumbach, MD, Professor and Chair, Department of Family and Community Medicine, University of California, San Francisco. A recipient of several academic, industry, and civic awards, Dr. Grumbach has served as an advisor to President Barack Obama and Congress on health policy and reform. He co-authored the best-selling textbook on health policy, Understanding Health Policy — A Clinical Approach, and the book, Improving Primary Care — Strategies and Tools for a Better Practice. Dr. Grumbach is also the Co-Director of the UCSF Center for Excellence in Primary Care, and Co-Director of the Community Engagement and Health Policy Program for the UCSF Clinical and Translational Science Institute. He chairs the steering committee for the California Advanced Primary Care Institute in addition to practicing family medicine. He is also a member of the Institute of Medicine and National Academy of Sciences. A recording of the lecture, Primary Care Meets Population Health, is now available in the Jefferson Digital Commons.
