NIH Minority Health Promotion Day

In honor of National Minority Health Month, the National Institute on Minority Health and Health Disparities (NIMHD) will host the NIH Minority Health Promotion Day on April 17th. Dr. Paula Braveman, Professor of Family and Community Medicine and Director of the Center on Social Disparities in Health, University of California, San Francisco, will conclude the day's activities as the featured speaker, to provide an overview of the concept of health disparities and a conceptual framework for thinking about how disparities are created, exacerbated, and perpetuated across lifetimes and generations.
