Foreword

In the previous issue of the Journal Bolorunduro, O et al reproted the results of the survey regarding the utilization of radial catheterization in training programs around the Uinted States. The results of the survey demonstrated that cardiology fellows prefer the radial approach as an viable alternative to the femoral approach for coronary angiography and coronary intervention. Despite that there are some challenges with the technique, there are significant benefits of the transradial approach such as a decrease in patient discomfort, an improvement in the time to ambulation and a reduction in costs.
