Injury Prevention: The Importance of Proper Safety Equipment

Eighty to ninety percent of significant head injuries can be prevented. Emergency Medicine physician, Dr. Keith Borg, emphasizes that a majority of trauma injuries can be avoided by wearing a helmet or other safety equipment, using a seatbelt and not driving under the influence. Dr. Borg also advises the importance of using an authorized helmet and the proper fit for a helmet.
