Perineum: Proper Skincare of the Perineum area

The Perineum is the region between the thighs, in the female between the vulva and the anus, in males, between the scrotum and the anus. Lynette Franklin, a clinical nurse in the MUSC Bladder and Pelvic Program, explains how to properly keep the perineum area clean and gives recommendations for a caregiver when dealing with rashes from diapers (for both children and adults) and incontinence.
