Emergency Assistance Resources for Survivors of Disaster Flooded Areas

The National Association of the Deaf (NAD) is concerned with ensuring that deaf and hard of hearing individuals living in areas that have been tremendously impacted by recent natural disasters receive information, resources, and access to services to help them recover from the disaster. In late June 2016, West Virginia was hit by storms that created unprecedented flooding throughout two thirds of the state. More than 8,000 survivors of the West Virginia flooding have registered for assistance from the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA).read more
