Faculty Position in Cancer Biology

Applications are invited for a tenure - track junior faculty appointment in the Department of Radiation Oncology at Stanford University School of Medicine in the Division of Radiation & Cancer Biology (http://radcancerbio.stanford.edu/). We are particularly interested in candidates who possess a PhD or MD/PhD with postdoctoral training and track record of accomplishments, especially related to:
• Tumor metabolism
• Proteomics
• Immune checkpoints
• Tumor physiology
• DNA replication
• The unfolded protein response
• Tumor immunology
• DNA damage response
• Radiation induced checkpoints and cell cycle control
• Genomics
• DNA repair
The predominant criterion for appointment in the University Tenure Line is a major commitment to research and teaching. The activities of the Department are diverse and include a strong basic science and translational research programs in Cancer Biology. The Department has one current Program Project Grant and a T32 Postdoctoral Training Grant to support Postdoctoral Fellows.
The successful candidate for appointment to Assistant /Associate Professor must have demonstrated true distinction (or the promise of achieving true distinction) in research, and the capability of sustaining first-rate performance (or the promise of this)in teaching appropriate to the programmatic need upon which the appointment is based.
