Foreword
Pulmonary arterial hypertension is one of the most difficult diseases for the primary physician to diagnose and treat. With an estimated prevalence, ranging from 10 to 50 cases per million, pulmonary arterial hypertension was once considered as a disease of young adults (especially females); however more recently, older individuals are increasingly being diagnosed with this condition.
