Pathophysiology of pain

Pain is the most common complaint that is debilitating, and affects the individual person, their families, and time loss at work. Over 100 million Americans suffer from chronic pain and 63% of the patient seeks help initially from their primary care Physician.1 According to 2010 survey, 19% adults in USA report constant or frequent pain persisting for at least 3 months.2
