OC01_04 Mortality Trends in Kazakhstan During and After the Financial Crisis (2008-2012): Associations With Alcohol Consumption

There is increasing evidence that population health is negatively affected by economic crises. On the other hand, some studies have found that people may engage in healthier behavior, in particular lower alcohol consumption although the latter effect seems to be present only when downturns are short-lived and not severe.
