OC02_05 Mitral Valvuloplasty in Rheumatic Heart Disease: The Experience of Mozambique
Rheumatic fever is a non-suppurative sequelae of throat infections caused by beta-hemolytic streptococci. Among its clinical presentations, the cardiac lesions are the most severe and the mitral valve is the most affected, causing many times mitral regurgitation.
