OC02_10 Adherence to Secondary Prophylaxis for Rheumatic Heart Disease Patients Diagnosed Through Screening Is Inadequate for Disease Control

Echocardiographic screening for rheumatic heart disease (RHD) can detect candidates for secondary antibiotic prophylaxis (SAP), but will not improve disease control unless adherence to SAP is adequate. This is the first study to evaluate adherence to SAP specifically for RHD patients diagnosed through screening.
