OC11_04 Antithrombotic Therapy in Relation to Symptoms in Patients With Atrial Fibrillation: Observations From The Gloria-AF Registry Program

Patients with non-valvular atrial fibrillation (AF) at high risk of stroke and cardiovascular events may have few, if any, symptoms. Asymptomatic patients may have an unfavorable prognosis when undertreated. While oral anticoagulation (OAC) is highly effective in preventing stroke in patients with AF, limited data are available on the use of non-Vitamin K antagonist oral anticoagulants (NOACs) among those who are asymptomatic.
