PS031 Goliath Versus Goliath: Leveraging Private Mining Industry Resources for Public Health Gains in Tobacco Control

The Grasberg Mine in the highlands of West Papua, Indonesia is the world ’s largest copper-gold mine, employing some 30,000 employees. It is owned and operated by the mining giant PT Freeport Indonesia (PTFI), a subsidiary of FreePort-McMoRan Copper & Gold, whose sales in 2014 totaled US$21.4 billion.
