PS054 Prevalence and Patterns of Cardiac Diseases Among HIV Infected People Following Antiretroviral Clinic at Jimma University Specialized Hospital, Southwest Ethiopia
Cardiac diseases are among the most common complications of HIV infection; they are present in up to half of people living with HIV. The most common forms of heart disease in these people are dilated cardiomyopathy, coronary heart diseases, and pericardial effusion. Although this has been reported from other countries, there is no study that evaluated the prevalence of the problem and its patterns in Ethiopia in general and in the study area, in particular.
