PS126 Semi-Invasive Method to Avoid Adverse Hemodynamic Programming in Cardiac Rezynchronization

Non-responder rate in cardiac resynchronization therapy (CRT) could be decreased by individualized optimization of pacing parameters. In heart failure patients with sinus rhythm, an atrial kick enables completion of atrial contraction and may significantly enhance the ventricular filling. In contrast, exclusion of atrial kick is a clear sign of suboptimal atrioventricular timing. However, echocardiographic recognition of atrial kick will be negatively affected in patients requiring very short or long AV delays.
