The most important manifestation of Chagas disease in humans is the chronic myocarditis. As the disease spreads throughout the heart affecting myocytes and specialized conduction system, electrocardiographic changes will reflect this. In experimental models of Chagas disease in mice, the electrocardiography is a very important tool in this kind of studies.
