PS217 To Correlate Carotid Artery Intima-Media Thickness and Plaque Score With the Syntax Score for Assessing the Complexity of Coronary Artery Disease
Carotid atherosclerosis detected by carotid ultrasound (carotid-US) is well known to correlate with presence of coronary artery disease (CAD). We have studied the correlation of two different parameters of testing of carotid atherosclerosis by carotid-US, namely Intimal media thickness (IMT) and Plaque score (PS) with the severity of CAD as determined by the widely acknowledged SYNTAX score.
